Every day of the week, PokerKings is runner Head Hunter tournaments, noted by the symbol of a skull's head in the PokerKings multi-table tournament lobby.
What distinguishes Head Hunter tournaments from other poker tournaments at PokerKings is how the site distributes the prize money amongst the winners. In PokerKings Head Hunter tourneys, only half of each player's buy-in is applied to the actual prize pool and awarded as normal, while the other half is applied toward a bounty prize pool.
Because as it sounds, a Head Hunter tournament is a bounty tournament, in this case with every player registered having a bounty on their head. The amount of the bounty depends on the number of players registered and the stakes of the Head Hunter tournament. Every time a player is knocked out of a Head Hunter tournament, the bounty on their head is divided up with three-quarters of it going to the player who knocked his opponent out, while one-quarter of the bounty is added to the bounty on the head of the player who just won the other three-quarters by knocking his opponent out.
In other words, the more opponents a player knocks out (and subsequently the more bounties he wins) the higher the bounty becomes on his head.
Head Hunter tournament stakes range from €1 to €22, and some events are Turbo events.
One of the special Head Hunter tournaments on the regular PokerKings schedule is a 10,000 Euro guaranteed event held every Sunday at 17:00 GMT. Satellites into this event are running at PokerKings daily, and range in styles from 1 to 3 seat guaranteed events, from rebuy to freezeout events. And on Sunday's themselves, PokerKings add 1-Handed Turbo Frenzies to the schedule every 20 minutes.
Then on the 1st Sunday of every month, PokerKings holds €100,000 Guaranteed Head Hunter events.
