EPT Caribbean Adventure

And so the EPT paid a visit to the Caribbean once more. It is no big mystery why this stop of the EPT is so extraordinarily popular - on the one hand the venue is just wonderful (there are not many people on this planet who do not want to visit a Caribbean island) and on the other hand the winner receives a fantastic $3 million!! Yes, you heard me right the first time - we are not talking about a "mere" $3,000,000 poker tournament, we are talking about a $12,674,000 tournament where the winner takes home an incredible $3,000,000! The buy-in of $9,700 didn't keep 1,347 poker enthusiasts from participating in that extravagant tournament (you also had the opportunity to qualify online for example by playing satellites at Everest Poker).

Poorya Nazari was the lucky (and skilled) player who managed to turn his Caribbean Adventure into a Caribbean Dream and walked away $3,000,000 wealthier. The Canadian was able to beat the US American Anthony Gregg who can take comfort in knowing his bank account is up by $1,700,000. The young German Benjamin Spindler whose best result prior to the EPT Caribbean Adventure was a 10th place at the Austrian Classics 2007 (which earned him $1,138 back then) was able to end the tournament in 3rd position and received $1,100,000 for that feat. Maybe Alexandre Gomes is slightly disappointed ending up 4th - he still earned $750,000 but being the chip leader at the start of the final day he might have expected more. The Brazilian was taken from the table by Benny Spindler who had a Quad to beat Gomes' Full House which made the German a temporary chip leader.

The next stop of the EPT is Deauville. Starting on January 20th 700 participants will compete in the wonderful Barriere Casino. The buy-in for this tournament is a mere and laughable €5.000 - for those among us who still think that is a bit too much to pay for the EPT experience there is of course as always the option to qualify by playing Everest Poker's satellites. Make sure to check out our special Everest Poker Bonus if you aren't already a player so you can make most of your money (up to $500 bonus) when signing up.
