Aria Launches Exclusive Poker Room in Honor of Ivey

May 25th 2010, 15:48 - Rich and famous poker enthusiasts can now look forward to a brand new and exclusive poker room at Aria, the one and only casino at CityCenter. The new poker room, known as Ivey Room, has been set up in honour of the internationally acclaimed poker pro Phil Ivey.

MGM Mirage, the operator of Aria, said on Thursday that it will launch a single-table, high-limit room in honour of poker pro Phil Ivey at Aria Resort and Casino located at CityCenter. The $8.5 billion worth CityCenter is jointly owned by Dubai World and MGM Mirage.

A huge majority of poker enthusiasts consider Ivey to be among the best of modern poker pros. Ivey has won millions of dollars in tournaments and cash games, including 7 prestigious World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets. Last year, he finished seventh in the 2009 WSOP main event $10,000 Buy-in No-limit Texas Hold’em and won $1.4 million in this most prestigious of poker tournaments.
